PhD Overview

The PhD curriculum is in Information Science and Complex Systems.

The PhD curriculum in Information Science and Complex Systems aims at forming Philosophiæ Doctor - PhD doctors with a deep knowledge in the field of computer science, ICT, modelling and analysis of complex systems. The acquired knowledge must be applied in a proper domain. At the end of the course the PhD student will be able to carry on research activity in his field autonomously. The following research areas are present at Unicam. To guarantee a proper supervision, the PhD must present a research project within one of these areas:

  • Automation and Robotics
  • Computational/Algorithmic Systems Biology and Biomodelling
  • Theoretical Computer Science
  • Formal Methods for the modelling and the verification of complex systems
  • Computer Networks, Distributed Systems and Quality of Service
  • Systems for Information Treatment, for Simulation and Optimization Methods
